1.
Vacant 02:56
Gall The audacity To dress me down In this mess and out Take me to task with lies Purposeful pause Scavenge our roles This trauma wont stop keeping me on my toes Ebb starts to flow, like a storm Now but why… why? Routines, inconsistencies In this surgery Time to change the sheets Pillows hot, heart is bouncing Stomachs empty The balance between inner peace and a war Your barter is weak You align yourself with godless dopes The audacity, youre empty Forever vacant
2.
Funeral Suit 03:52
The walls are weak My chair is numb And your dress is torn Boredom and precarity occupy the time When can we leave? Is this appearance proof Of an organized slaughtering Coming unhinged The guests start to scream Not enough gambling dancing and drinks Gluttony among the deceased This dread cacophony Ceiling gave way, crashing on this party Having our best last moments And everyone is dead

about

These are the last two songs that we wrote with our big brother and best friend Lon. We lost him suddenly and unexpectedly and the world as we knew came to an abrupt end. Moving forward has been a slow, painful process but we learned immediately that we needed each other more than ever. There has been some solace in our weekly rehearsal routine. Just sitting together in the room that we all have spent so much time together seems to help. While Lon’s mighty gear, exactly how he left it, stands proud and stoic, yet deafeningly silent. A quiet spectator of all the bad jokes, therapy sessions and all-around usual nonsense that is “Sulaco Jam”.
We agreed on two things almost immediately; Number one, we would keep going. Although it’s cliché to say, it is true, Lon would want us to keep Sulaco together. His exact reaction would be to tip his head back, laugh hard and say “Because of me?? Whyyy??”. Not once did he accept how important he was to all those that loved him. Who knows, maybe now he does, because it is undeniably apparent to the ones that he left behind.
Number two, we will record these songs. Brian and Erik agreed on the
emotionally difficult task of recording the bass. The tag team effort was recorded with Lon’s bass and through Lon’s rig. Bringing back that glorious roar that is loved and
cherished as much as his own voice.
We hope Lon would approve. As much as we want him to, he has not haunted us yet.
Thank you all for the tidal wave of support that you have given us during this time. We have never felt such love and are not sure how we could bare this pain without it. We love you.
